Blood Donation- 2025

To mark the first anniversary of Sarana Wimala Gilana Bhikshu Upasthana Padanama, a blood donation campaign was organized on 2025.04.04 in collaboration with the Ragama Teaching Hospital Blood Bank.

This blood donation program was conducted very successfully, with 107 donors generously giving blood. Each donor was presented with a commemorative gift and a certificate of appreciation. Maha Sanga graced the event by speaking personally with every donor, offering brief Dhamma advice, chanting blessings, and tying the pirith thread as a symbol of protection and goodwill.

An evening Ashtapana and Gilampasa Buddha Pooja was also conducted to enrich the merits of the day further, and those who contributed financially, provided food and beverages, and supported the event in various organizational roles were blessed with gratitude.

By going beyond the nature of a typical blood donation campaign, this event became a day filled with noble generosity—fulfilling Dāna Pāramitā and Dāna Upa-Pāramitā—allowing streams of merit to flow abundantly. It was a day on which our foundation demonstrated its deep-rooted spiritual values.
